It started with one dog.
Growing up, I was the kid who couldn't walk past a stray animal without wanting to help. Years later, when my rescue dog Pyxie made the journey from Louisiana to Massachusetts, I learned something that completely changed my perspective.
That's the lesson Pyxie taught me—and it's the reason The Goodest was created.
Good dogs need more than good luck.
Every day, rescue organizations work tirelessly to save dogs in need, but good intentions alone aren't always enough. Limited resources, overcrowded shelters, and unexpected expenses can stand between a dog and the second chance they deserve. Sometimes, all it takes is a little extra support to change the outcome.
Many dogs in overcrowded shelters have a better chance of adoption in other regions, but getting them there requires funding, coordination, and resources.
